The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Spring 2022 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor's Honor Roll.

President's Scholars are those with a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

Hinds Community College has announced the Deans' Scholars for the Spring 2022 semester. Deans' Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average.

Hinds Community College graduated more than 1,300 students in one of four graduation ceremonies over two days May 11 and 12 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus and a fifth Saturday May 14 ceremony at J.D. Boyd Gymnasium on the Utica Campus. Hinds awarded 1,671 certificates and degrees, with some students receiving more than one credential. Of those graduating, 252 graduated cum laude with a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.59; 199 graduated magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.99 and 209 graduated summa cum laude with a grade point average of 4.0. Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following students on being named to the Honor Roll for the following term: 22EW4. Honor Roll is a term-specific achievement that recognizes learners who excel at SNHU. It was established in 2022 to help recognize learners who do not qualify for President's List or Dean's List. Due to differences in term structures, SNHU's online and campus populations have different eligibility requirements for Honor Roll. Eligibility for SNHU Honor Roll requires that a student earn an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for the term, and meet the following criteria. Campus Students: Part-time, coursework-only, and graduate students studying on campus are eligible for the Honor Roll. Full-time campus students (12+ credits) are not eligible for the Honor Roll, but may be eligible for President's List or Dean's List. Online Learners: Due to differences in term structures, full- and part-time undergraduate and all graduate online students and coursework-only learners are eligible for the Honor Roll. Please note: Full-time online undergraduate students who receive the Honor Roll may also be eligible for President's List or Dean's List. SNHU's President's and Dean's Lists require online students to accumulate 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6 and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Honor Roll is evaluated at the end of every term while Dean's List and President's List are evaluated at the end of each set of paired terms for online students. While acknowledgement of Honor Roll is an achievement, it is not a recognized university honor and has no bearing on eligibility for honor societies, Latin honors or Ceremonial honors at the time of conferral or during the Commencement Ceremony, or any notation on the student's academic transcript or diploma. More than 3,300 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in May 2022. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Accountancy, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Journalism and New Media, Law and Pharmacy.

As Mississippi College prepares to host six orientation sessions this summer, our student leadership is preparing all of the event details to welcome new students to campus. This year, the Office of Student Engagement has selected 34 students to serve as Orientation Leaders. This year's team includes Courtney Engel, Dylan Robertson, Jonathan Hestres-Rivera, Aaliyah Newsome, Abbie Gillespie, Abby McCoy, Alya Shanklin, Blake Felton, Blocker Harvison, Cameron Melton, Camryn Johnson, Claire Price, Colby Chadwick, Conner Cantrell, Conner Dyess, Corley Sullivan, Dalton Philips, Eliza Mims, Elizabeth Farnham, Gabby Cobbins, Gracelyn Noss, Jameson Cook, Josh Wilkes, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Kendall Lauderdale, Lindsey Buie, Madeline Brown, Malia Kossina, Mallory Burnside, Mason Kennedy, Nia Harvin, Sakari Faulkner, Sarah Beth Stambaugh, and Shauna Gandenberger.

Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, welcomed 1,971 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2022. Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/professional students in the top 35% of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on a campus are invited to join each year.

The University of Mississippi named 16 students to be Class Marshal, Standard Bearer or Banner Bearer for their respective colleges or schools during the 2022 Commencement ceremonies.

University of the Cumberlands held commencement ceremonies recently to celebrate its newest graduates. Participants in this year's commencement ceremonies included graduates from 49 states and territories and the countries of Canada, India, Brazil, Spain, New Zealand, and Italy, among others. A total of 2,068 graduates received their degrees from Cumberlands that weekend.

University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy student Aaron White received the Debbie Mellinger Memorial Award, which is given to a recipient who exhibits courage and a positive attitude in carrying out normal student activities even though confronted by personal hardship.

The Hall of Fame of Mississippi College was established in 1960 to honor four senior students for outstanding leadership ability, scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities participation, contribution to student life and dedication to the serving of God and fellowmen. The four honorees are announced each spring at the Student Experience Gala and presented with a plaque.

Margaret Street and Zoe Thaw received the School of Pharmacy Service Awards.

A smattering of superlative individual performances in shooting competitions from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Las Vegas, Nevada, and improved overall team scores highlight the Mississippi College archery team's spring season. The squad gained valuable experience in tournaments on the road and in Mississippi, competed against top collegiate and amateur performers in open divisions, and shared team-bonding experiences while traveling. Several of his archers took home individual awards. The spring season kicked off Jan. 15 with the 2022 Mississippi Indoor Classic at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Archery Center in Jackson. Despite competing in an open division against archers with a wide range of abilities, MC's Emilia Miceli took first place and Anna Carraway captured second place in the Women's Bowhunter Division.

More than 140 University of Mississippi students were welcomed into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor societies for all academic disciplines. The university held an induction ceremony on April 7 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on campus. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is based on a student's character and academic standing. Juniors must have completed 72 credit hours and rank in the top 7.5% of their class, while seniors and graduate students must rank in the top 10% of their class.

More than 80 University of Mississippi students were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious undergraduate honors organization in the liberal arts. The university held an induction ceremony on April 8, 2022, at the Gertrude C. Ford Ole Miss Student Union Ballroom on campus. Phi Beta Kappa membership is an honor conferred upon fewer than 10% of each graduating class. Students do not apply for membership but are elected by the chapter after a review of the academic records of each eligible candidate.

Ten University of Mississippi seniors have been inducted into the university's 2021-22 Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors afforded to students at UM.

A total of 32 rising seniors were selected to join the Tassels Chapter of the Mortar Board honor society at the University of Mississippi.

Third-year professional students at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy received their white coat patches, which signifies the completion of coursework and beginning of serving patients and communities through clinical rotations.

The University of Mississippi selected 170 students to be honored in the 2021-22 class of Who's Who Among Students.

The University of Mississippi selected more than 60 students to receive a 2022 Marcus Elvis Taylor Memorial Medal, the university's highest academic award.
