Troy University announces Chancellor's List for Fall Semester/Term 2

Troy University is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Chancellor's List for the Fall Semester and Term 2 of the 2024-2025 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade point average of 4.0 qualify for the Chancellor's List. The Fall Semester includes students at the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 2 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.

SNHU Announces Honor Roll for 2024 C-5 (Sep - Oct)

Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following students on being named to the Honor Roll for the 2024 C-5 (Sep - Oct) term. Honor Roll is a term-specific achievement that recognizes learners who excel at SNHU. It was established in 2022 to help recognize academic excellence in our part-time and graduate learners. Eligibility for the SNHU Honor Roll requires full-time or part-time undergraduate, graduate, or coursework only online or campus students to earn an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for an individual term. Please note: Full-time undergraduate students who receive the Honor Roll may also be eligible for the President's List or Dean's List. Honor Roll is awarded at the end of each term, while the President's List and Dean's List are recognized at the end of the 16-week campus terms or following paired 8-week terms for online students. While acknowledgment of the Honor Roll is an achievement, it is not a recognized university honor and has no bearing on eligibility for honor societies, Latin honors, or ceremonial honors at the time of conferral or during the Commencement ceremony, nor will it be noted on the student's academic transcript or diploma. University of Mississippi Students Inducted Into Phi Kappa Phi

University of Mississippi students were welcomed into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor societies for all academic disciplines. The university held an induction ceremony on Nov. 3 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on campus. Phi Kappa Phi membership is based on a student's character and academic standing. Juniors must have completed 72 credit hours and rank in the top 7.5% of their class, while seniors and graduate students must rank in the top 10% of their class.

Madeline Cannon Named Ole Miss First Scholar

Madeline Cannon, of Pearl, majoring in early childhood education, was named an Ole Miss First scholar at the University of Mississippi this fall. Students selected for the scholarship demonstrate outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership and commitment to service. Over the course of their four years at Ole Miss, the scholars meet with mentors and attend monthly dinners, so they receive the support, guidance and encouragement they need to take chances, explore opportunities and make a difference.

University of Mississippi Student Abigail Hogue Wins Stamps Impact Prize

The Stamps Impact Prize, a competitive award program at the University of Mississippi to support undergraduate-initiated, faculty-mentored research and creative achievement projects, has announced its second cohort of recipients. Abigail Hogue, of Brandon, a junior mechanical engineering major at UM, was named one of the Stamps Impact Prize winners. Hogue will pursue the project "Exploration of Graph Neural Networks for Enhanced Materials Design" with faculty mentor Samrat Choudhury, associate professor of mechanical engineering.

Mississippi State students showcase projects at spring Undergraduate Research Symposium

Mississippi State University's Undergraduate Research Symposium allows students to showcase faculty-guided research and creative activity. This bi-annual event includes students from diverse departments and colleges who participate in poster and oral presentation sessions, sharing their research with the MSU community. This past spring, URS had the highest number of student presenters and attendees. More than 270 undergraduate student projects were evaluated by faculty, graduate students and staff. This feedback can be useful in improving current research projects and preparing for future research endeavors. The event is hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Discovery, the Shackouls Honors College and various undergraduate research sponsors. In addition, the event was supported by 90 faculty who helped provide comments on projects and judge special area competitions. Research projects are divided into eight categories: arts, music and design; biological and life sciences; business and economics; education; engineering; humanities; physical sciences; and social sciences. UWA announces Spring 2024 Dean's List

The University of West Alabama has announced nearly 500 outstanding undergraduate students named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2024 academic semester. Spring 2024 academic honors recipients represent 62 out of 67 Alabama counties and 83 counties from 19 other states. The Dean's List gives recognition to those undergraduate students those with grade-point averages between 3.25 and 3.79, completing at least twelve semester credit hours, with no grade lower than a "C." More than 6,800 University of Rhode Island students named to Spring 2024 Dean's List

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Spring 2024 Dean's List. Students named to the Dean's List represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Kellygrace Loko Comes to University of Mississippi From South Africa to Train for Career in Helping Others

Kellygrace Loko grew up in the West African country of Togo but came to the U.S. at the start of 2020 to fulfill a dream of helping others. The first part of her journey to pursue a career in medicine was fulfilled as she received her diploma at the University of Mississippi's 171st Commencement ceremonies. Loko was honored as this year's class marshal for the Bachelor of Multi-Disciplinary Studies degree program.
