Samford University recognizes 2,122 students named to the Dean's List for the fall 2023 semester. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Mississippi State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences selected 47 exceptional students to serve as CALS ambassadors-representatives of their respective departments and majors who showcase their MSU experiences in connecting with communities on campus and beyond-for the 2023-2024 academic year. "These students are officially carrying the brand of Mississippi State University and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and must be good representatives in the classroom, across campus and within the community," said Cory Bailey, CALS director of enrollment, retention and outreach. "More importantly, they are an extension of the admissions coordinator in assisting with the university and academic college enrollment goals," Bailey added. "Their conversations throughout the year and recruitment efforts absolutely impact decisions made by prospective students when choosing to attend MSU. Many of these students can recall the ambassador that worked with them. That tells me that these students play a very significant role in helping students choose MSU." CALS presents a broad array of opportunities through its nine schools and departments which offer 17 majors and 45 concentrations for undergraduates, plus 18 majors and 41 concentrations for graduate students. The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Fall 2023 Dean's List. Students named to the Dean's List represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Mississippi State University congratulates 4,503 students named to the fall 2023 President's List. Students on the President's List achieved a 3.80 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

More than 170 Mississippi State students have been inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for 2023. National Society of Collegiate Scholars inductees are first- or second-year undergraduate students who have completed credits equivalent to one term of full-time study and hold a cumulative 3.4 GPA. The NSCS was founded in 1994 and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and the society is a recognized organization at nearly 300 campuses across the U.S.

Southeast Missouri State University is pleased and proud to celebrate with our newest students on their first year at Southeast.

More than 190 University of Mississippi students were welcomed into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor societies for all academic disciplines. The university held an induction ceremony on Oct. 25 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on campus. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is based on a student's character and academic standing. Juniors must have completed 72 credit hours and rank in the top 7.5% of their class, while seniors and graduate students must rank in the top 10% of their class.

Seventeen freshmen at the University of Mississippi have been recognized as Stamps Scholars, a prestigious designation that offers them a scholarship covering full cost of attendance and leadership development opportunities.

More than 900 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in August 2023. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Law, Pharmacy, Journalism and New Media, Engineering, Education, Business Administration, Applied Sciences and Patterson School of Accountancy.

Mississippi College congratulates the student who were named to the Choctaws Archery team for the 2023-24 season. The team recently hosted the 2023 USA Collegiate 3D South Central Regionals on Sept, 16, 2023 where they competed against universities from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arkansas. Abigail Veidmark took first place in the female bowhunter division, Bryce Burk claimed first in male barebow, Jack Thomas Spears took first in male bowhunter, and they took several first place spots in the teams and mixed teams competitions.

The works of visual art and design majors Savannah Wimberly, Lauren Watts, and Lilly Perkins will be featured at the Senior Fine Art Exhibition, August 26 - September 16. This exhibit, entitled "Autonomous Reverie," serves as a launching point for professional practice and allows the students to gain practical knowledge of museum work through the crafting and installing of their exhibit. As the culmination of their BFA and BA studies, this exhibit is a collective representation of each student's skill and mastery of visual art. The opening reception for the exhibit will be at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Art Gallery on Saturday, August 26, 2-4 p.m. Then on September 11 at 4 p.m., the artists will host a gallery talk to discuss their selected pieces of art. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours include Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. This is just one of the many exciting events from Belhaven's School of Arts.
