The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2021 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours (exclusive of audit and pass/fail courses this semester) and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C (inclusive of audit, pass/fail courses and zero-credit courses).

The University of Mississippi welcomed more than 200 students into the UM chapter of Phi Kappa Phi for the spring 2021 semester. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.

The Debbie Norris scholarship typically goes towards the students' final two years at MC. The award is for $1,000 annually. Students are eligible to stack it with other scholarships. Admissions director Kyle Brantley believes the scholarship speaks volumes about the highly regarded administrator. This year, Norris is busy overseeing the university's complex national re-accreditation process. She invests considerable time to make it a successful enterprise every few years. "Dr. Norris has made such a strong, positive impact on MC over her career," Brantley said. "We're delighted to be able to honor her." The scholarship bearing her name, he said, "will help bring other influential transfers to our campus community."

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 7,000 students named to the Fall 2020 Dean's List. Undergraduate students enrolled in at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

A total of 13,128 students enrolled during the fall 2020 term at The University of Alabama made the Dean's List with academic records of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale), or the President's List with academic records of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's Lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

President's Scholars are those with a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

As MC begins its 195th academic year, students returned to traditional classes in the midst of a pandemic, there are many health protocols in place to protect the university family. From social distancing to frequent temperature checks and lots of sanitizing stations, it is all part of the landscape at MC as well as the case at institutions nationwide. Kyle Brantley, the Mississippi College director of admissions, believes the Class of 2024 will be special for many reasons. Students in this class, he said, "are some of the most deeply committed to MC, choosing to enroll despite difficult and uncertain world circumstances.'' MC "recruits on the strength of our academic portfolio and reputation, and on the dedication to our Christian mission. I think there's a strong segment of students who will find that attractive in a university experience.'' Students enrolling at Mississippi College in 2020-21 can sample from a smorgasbord of classes from the undergraduate level through the doctorate. MC Law School in Jackson, and the state's only physician program are seeing enrollment grow. MC's NCAA sports recently added a women's golf team. MC's equestrian team at Providence Hill Farm is among the best in the South. MC's overall enrollment includes a large number of students from across the Southeast, and other regions of the USA. There are 121 international students from dozens of nations.

Mississippi College Announces the 2020-21 Student Government Association Student Leadership Council. The legislative powers of the Student Government Association are vested in the Student Leadership Council. This distinguished body of 28 members is comprised of four elected representatives from each academic class, six representatives from various campus organizations, and six representatives selected by the Deans of each school at Mississippi College. The purpose of the Student Leadership Council is to draft legislation to be brought before the Leadership Council and subsequently presented to administration if approved on the Leadership Council floor. Addressing issues regarding all aspects of campus, the Student Leadership Council is a very distinguishing and rewarding way to make a difference on campus.
