Troy University announces Provost's List for Fall Semester/Term 2

TROY is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for the Fall Semester and Term 2 of the 2019/2020 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. The Fall Semester includes students at the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 2 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.

Hinds Community College Fall 2019 Graduation

Throughout three different ceremonies on Dec. 18, 2019, Hinds Community College awarded a total of 1,316 credentials to 958 graduates, with some graduates receiving more than one credential. Of the fall graduates, 158 achieved cum laude, 3.2 to 3.59 grade point average; 95 achieved magna cum laude, 3.6 to 3.99 GPA and 124 achieved summa cum laude, 4.0 grade point average. For the first time since 1993, the Mississippi College football team is the owner of the Heritage Bell Trophy after a 37-13 victory over Delta State University on Saturday afternoon at Robinson-Hale Stadium.

Ninety-nine Little Rock Trojan athletes earn Sun Belt academic honors for 2018-2019

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced 99 Little Rock Trojan student-athletes have earned Sun Belt academic honors for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Little Rock Trojans compete in baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, track and field, cross country, and volleyball. A total of 64 Little Rock Trojans were named to the 2018-2019 Sun Belt Commissioner's List, which recognizes students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. A total of 35 Little Rock Trojans were named to the 2018-2019 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes students who have maintained a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

Hinds Community College Summer 2019 Graduation

Hinds Community College awarded a total of 672 credentials to 572 graduates, with some graduates receiving more than one credential, in two ceremonies on Aug. 2. Of the summer graduates, 99 achieved cum laude, 3.2 to 3.59 grade point average; 34 achieved magna cum laude, 3.6 to 3.99 GPA and 93 achieved summa cum laude, 4.0 grade point average. The speakers included Rosalyn Howard, executive director of the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, and Steve Gaines, who represents District 4 on the Rankin County Board of Supervisors. Spring 2019 Dean's List

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announces students who have made the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester, recognizing more than 1,450 students whose academic performances have been superior at the end of each semester. To be on the Dean's List, UA Little Rock students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average. The student must not have any D, F, I, or "No Credit" grades on their semester grade report.

Hinds Community College Spring 2019 Graduation

Throughout five different ceremonies on May 15, May 16 and May 18, Hinds awarded a total of 1,706 credentials to 1,254 graduates, with some graduates receiving more than one credential. Of the spring graduates, 260 achieved cum laude, 3.2 to 3.59 grade point average; 197 achieved magna cum laude, 3.6 to 3.99 GPA and 126 achieved summa cum laude, 4.0 grade point average. The speakers included retiring employees, Dr. Libby Mahaffey on May 15, Dr. Theresa Hamilton on May 16, and former Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy, currently a local attorney, on May 18.
