465 students earned a 4.0 GPA for the spring 2020 semester, earning recognition for the Southern Arkansas University President's List.

The University of Alabama awarded some 6,326 degrees this spring. The recent change to remote learning during this unprecedented time affected the University's plans for traditional commencement activities. However, commencement is a milestone, and the University wants graduates to have the opportunity to walk across the stage in celebration of their success. Although any plans are contingent on how the summer outlook progresses, all spring graduates are invited to participate in the summer commencement events scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1. "We will also be recognizing the achievements of our spring 2020 graduating class through online and social media outlets to highlight our shared pride in them," said UA President Stuart Bell. "I look forward to congratulating each student on stage very soon." Kennesaw State University congratulates the 6,354 students named to the Fall 2019 Dean's List. Students enrolled in at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

Hinds Community College has announced the Deans' Scholars for the Fall 2019 semester. Deans' Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average.

President's Scholars are those with a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus for spring 2020.

TROY is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for the Fall Semester and Term 2 of the 2019/2020 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. The Fall Semester includes students at the Troy, Ala., campus. Throughout three different ceremonies on Dec. 18, 2019, Hinds Community College awarded a total of 1,316 credentials to 958 graduates, with some graduates receiving more than one credential. Of the fall graduates, 158 achieved cum laude, 3.2 to 3.59 grade point average; 95 achieved magna cum laude, 3.6 to 3.99 GPA and 124 achieved summa cum laude, 4.0 grade point average. For the first time since 1993, the Mississippi College football team is the owner of the Heritage Bell Trophy after a 37-13 victory over Delta State University on Saturday afternoon at Robinson-Hale Stadium.

To receive this honor, students are nominated by faculty or staff based upon their academic excellence, leadership, citizenship and service to the college and/or the community as well as participation in extracurricular activities.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced 99 Little Rock Trojan student-athletes have earned Sun Belt academic honors for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Little Rock Trojans compete in baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, track and field, cross country, and volleyball. A total of 64 Little Rock Trojans were named to the 2018-2019 Sun Belt Commissioner's List, which recognizes students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. A total of 35 Little Rock Trojans were named to the 2018-2019 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes students who have maintained a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

As the fall semester is well underway, Mississippi College has welcomed many students to the Choctaw Family! The class of 2023 as well as transfer students are busy making MC thier new home and have already participated in a number of campus events.

64 students were recently appointed to serve as Resident Assistants for Southern Arkansas University Housing during the 2019-20 academic year.

More than 500 gifted musicians and auxiliary were selected for Jacksonville State University's prestigious band program, the Marching Southerners, in Fall 2019. It's the biggest band in JSU history.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2019 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announces students who have made the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester, recognizing more than 1,450 students whose academic performances have been superior at the end of each semester. To be on the Dean's List, UA Little Rock students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average. The student must not have any D, F, I, or "No Credit" grades on their semester grade report.
