Hinds Community College Spring 2022 Graduates

Hinds Community College graduated more than 1,300 students in one of four graduation ceremonies over two days May 11 and 12 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus and a fifth Saturday May 14 ceremony at J.D. Boyd Gymnasium on the Utica Campus. Hinds awarded 1,671 certificates and degrees, with some students receiving more than one credential. Of those graduating, 252 graduated cum laude with a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.59; 199 graduated magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.99 and 209 graduated summa cum laude with a grade point average of 4.0. Students graduate from Cumberlands

University of the Cumberlands held commencement ceremonies recently to celebrate its newest graduates. Participants in this year's commencement ceremonies included graduates from 49 states and territories and the countries of Canada, India, Brazil, Spain, New Zealand, and Italy, among others. A total of 2,068 graduates received their degrees from Cumberlands that weekend.

Mississippi College Winter Commencement 2021

Mississippi College honored the graduates of both summer and fall semesters in three campus ceremonies on Friday, Dec. 17. Dr. Blake Thompson, MC president, welcomed the graduates and gave opening remarks, while Dr. Tommy Leavelle, retired professor in the Department of Mathematics at MC and the 2020-21 Distinguished Professor of the Year, gave the Commencement Address. Thompson reiterated MC's theme, "Rise Up," for the 2021-22 Academic Year, inviting the MC Family to make this a year built on the "good work" God calls us all to do. The encouragement taken from Nehemiah 2:18 illustrates that, although situations can change at a moment's notice, God will strengthen our hands.

Hinds Community College Summer 2021 Graduates

A total 593 Hinds Community College students graduated in one of three ceremonies on July 30 with 320 students choosing to participate in one of the ceremonies. Hinds awarded a total of 700 credentials, with some students earning more than one credential. Of the total 593 graduates, 85 graduated cum laude, 53 graduated magna cum laude and 69 graduated summa cum laude. Among those who graduated were the following:

Hinds Community College Spring 2021 Graduates

Hinds Community College held three graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 13 at the Rankin Campus and a fourth ceremony on Saturday, May 15 at the Utica Campus. "Commencement is a proud occasion for the Hinds Community College family. Every graduation ceremony is special at the college as we celebrate the success of each student," said Hinds President Dr. Stephen Vacik. "It's important that we truly celebrate what you have accomplished, what you have achieved and what you're going to achieve. You have made it through a series of unusual circumstances to get to this point and you are to be commended." Nearly 1,000 students participated in one of the four ceremonies, including students eligible to participate in previous ceremonies cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, Hinds conferred 1,761 degrees or certificates, with some students receiving more than one credential. Out of those, 300 graduated cum laude with a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.59; 240 graduated magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.99 and 111 graduated summa cum laude with a grade point average of 4.0. Spring 2020 Graduates Announced at UA

The University of Alabama awarded some 6,326 degrees this spring. The recent change to remote learning during this unprecedented time affected the University's plans for traditional commencement activities. However, commencement is a milestone, and the University wants graduates to have the opportunity to walk across the stage in celebration of their success. Although any plans are contingent on how the summer outlook progresses, all spring graduates are invited to participate in the summer commencement events scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1.
