Hinds CC honors Foundation scholarship recipients on Vicksburg Campus

Raymond, MS (11/10/2025) — The Hinds Community College Foundation recognized 2025-2026 scholarship recipients, donors and other honorees at a reception on Oct. 30 at the Vicksburg-Warren Campus.

Among those recognized were:

- Stace Carter of Vicksburg, recipient of the Shirley Farish Nursing Scholarship. She is pictured with Jane Skinner of Vicksburg.

- Joshua Fairley of Vicksburg, recipient of the Fred & Margie Oakes Endowed Scholarship. He is pictured with Donald and Bettye Oaks of Vicksburg.

- Derrick Moreland II of Jackson, recipient of the Melvin & Patricia Oakes Endowed Scholarship. He is pictured with Donald and Bettye Oaks of Vicksburg.

- Thomas Azlin of Redwood, recipient of the Warren/Claiborne County Alumni Scholarship. He is pictured with Mark Buys of Vicksburg.

The Hinds Community College Foundation will award more than 800 scholarships during the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to apply for a scholarship for fall 2026 (academic year 2026-2027), is Feb. 15, 2026. For more information, visit www.hindscc.edu.
