Hinds CC honors Foundation scholarship recipients
Raymond, MS (12/05/2025) — The Hinds Community College Foundation recognized 2025-2026 scholarship recipients, donors and other honorees at a reception on Nov. 20 at the Utica Campus.
Among those recognized were:
- Lauren Haynes of Byram, recipient of the Robert & Gwendolyn Strong Endowed Scholarship.
- Maria Matos of Clinton, recipient of the Daughters of Bobby Cooper Scholarship.
- Samuel Thompson of Clinton, recipient of the Charles and Madelyn Bell Scholarship and the Utica Campus V.P. Endowed Scholarship.
- Rodreunia Briggs of Edwards, recipient of the Hinds AHS Class of 1971 Golden Scholarship.
- Gabrielle Johnson of Jackson, recipient of the Madison County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship.
- Devin Anderson of Jackson, recipient of the Adam & Margeree Jenkins Endowed Scholarship.
- Kyle Minter of Jackson, recipient of the Foundation for Education and Economic Development Scholarship.
- Brooklyn Harper of Jackson, recipient of the Joe Smith & Charlie Horton Endowed Scholarship.
- Christopher Davis of Terry, recipient of the Hinds AHS Class of 1964 Endowed Scholarship.
- Tyler Dotson of Terry, recipient of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated Endowed Scholarship.
- Jaden Bridges of Utica, recipient of the Hinds AHS Class of 1975 Scholarship.
- Eli Robinson of Utica, recipient of the Hinds AHS Utica Golden Class of 1960-2010 Scholarship.
The Hinds Community College Foundation will award more than 800 scholarships during the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to apply for a scholarship for fall 2026 (academic year 2026-2027), is Feb. 15, 2026. For more information, visit www.hindscc.edu.
