More than 200 students were honored as the 2025-26 class of Who's Who Among Students at the University of Mississippi. The honorees were recognized for their achievements during a ceremony on April 10 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Who's Who Among Students is a respected honor program recognizing seniors who excel academically and demonstrate leadership and community service on and off campus.

The following people recently were elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Nineteen University of Mississippi students were inducted into the Columns Society on March 29 at Paris-Yates Chapel.

Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following students on being named to the Honor Roll for the 2026 C-1 (Jan - Mar) term. Honor Roll is a term-specific achievement that recognizes learners who excel at SNHU. It was established in 2022 to help recognize academic excellence in our part-time and graduate learners. Eligibility for the SNHU Honor Roll requires full-time or part-time undergraduate, graduate, or coursework only online or campus students to earn an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for an individual term. Please note: Full-time undergraduate students who receive the Honor Roll may also be eligible for the President's List or Dean's List. Honor Roll is awarded at the end of each term, while the President's List and Dean's List are recognized at the end of the 16-week campus terms or following paired 8-week terms for online students. While acknowledgment of the Honor Roll is an achievement, it is not a recognized university honor and has no bearing on eligibility for honor societies, Latin honors, or ceremonial honors at the time of conferral or during the Commencement ceremony, nor will it be noted on the student's academic transcript or diploma. Six Mississippi State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences students were selected as fall 2025 Dean's Scholars, which recognizes degree candidates who demonstrate excellence in academics, research, experiential learning and leadership. This special designation is different than the MSU Dean's List or MSU President's List, which is based solely on MSU GPA and academic performance. CALS Dean's Scholars receive a tricolor honor cord and charm recognizing each category in which the scholars excelled.

More than 660 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in December 2025. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies program, and schools of Accountancy, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Journalism and New Media, Law and Pharmacy.

Mississippi State University congratulates students named to the fall 2025 President's List. These students achieved a 3.80 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Fall 2025 Chancellor's Honor Roll.

A total of 595 students enrolled in UA Early College during Fall Semester 2025 at The University of Alabama were named to the director's list with an academic record of 3.6 or higher.

Troy University is proud to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for the Fall Semester and Term 2 of the 2025/2026 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. The Fall Semester includes students at the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 2 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Fall 2025 President's List. The fall terms run from September to December. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Thirteen teams comprised of students from each major in Mississippi State's College of Architecture, Art and Design-architecture, art, building construction science and interior design-competed for top honors and a cash prize in the annual Brasfield & Gorrie Student Design Competition. First launched in 2011, the competition is sponsored by one of the nation's largest privately held construction firms based in Birmingham, Alabama. Brasfield & Gorrie also has a Jackson office, which opened in 2015.

The U.S. Department of Energy selected University of Mississippi graduate student Abigail Hogue for its University Nuclear Leadership Program graduate research fellowship, where she will use artificial intelligence to help improve nuclear fuel development.

Twenty-five outstanding Mississippi State students are serving as 2025 Orientation Leaders, welcoming over 10,000 admitted students and family members to 15 university Orientation sessions this summer. The Orientation Leaders host incoming freshmen and transfers who are officially becoming part of the Bulldog family. The events include a variety of information sessions and MSU resources to help new students prepare for college life at the university. Orientation Leaders are chosen through a competitive selection process and have an integral role alongside the Division of Academic Affairs staff. They attend a three-credit-hour course in the spring and additional training to prepare for Orientation and other on-campus recruiting events. They also receive a summer stipend, housing and meal plan. Known for their enthusiasm and love for the university, MSU Orientation Leaders gain valuable experience as they lead Dawg Talks, highlight student life and share information about academic programs. Madeline Cannon, of Pearl, majoring in early childhood education, was named an Ole Miss First scholar at the University of Mississippi this fall. Students selected for the scholarship demonstrate outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership and commitment to service. Over the course of their four years at Ole Miss, the scholars meet with mentors and attend monthly dinners, so they receive the support, guidance and encouragement they need to take chances, explore opportunities and make a difference.

Montclair State University is pleased to welcome the newest members of the Red Hawk family for the Fall 2024 semester.

Mississippi College congratulates the student who were named to the Choctaws Archery team for the 2023-24 season. The team recently hosted the 2023 USA Collegiate 3D South Central Regionals on Sept, 16, 2023 where they competed against universities from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arkansas. Abigail Veidmark took first place in the female bowhunter division, Bryce Burk claimed first in male barebow, Jack Thomas Spears took first in male bowhunter, and they took several first place spots in the teams and mixed teams competitions.

The works of visual art and design majors Savannah Wimberly, Lauren Watts, and Lilly Perkins will be featured at the Senior Fine Art Exhibition, August 26 - September 16. This exhibit, entitled "Autonomous Reverie," serves as a launching point for professional practice and allows the students to gain practical knowledge of museum work through the crafting and installing of their exhibit. As the culmination of their BFA and BA studies, this exhibit is a collective representation of each student's skill and mastery of visual art. The opening reception for the exhibit will be at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Art Gallery on Saturday, August 26, 2-4 p.m. Then on September 11 at 4 p.m., the artists will host a gallery talk to discuss their selected pieces of art. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours include Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. This is just one of the many exciting events from Belhaven's School of Arts. Twenty-four Mississippi State students have been honored with Spirit of State Awards, the university's premier student recognition. The award honors students making a positive impact on peers and the broader campus community through organization involvement, service to the institution and personal actions promoting school spirit and tradition.
