For summer semester 2025, 340 University of Alabama Early College students were on the Director's List obtaining a 3.6 or higher GPA for the term.

More than 3,600 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in May 2025. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Accountancy, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Journalism and New Media, Law and Pharmacy.

Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following students on being named to the Honor Roll for the 2025 C-4 (Jun - Aug) term. Honor Roll is a term-specific achievement that recognizes learners who excel at SNHU. It was established in 2022 to help recognize academic excellence in our part-time and graduate learners. Eligibility for the SNHU Honor Roll requires full-time or part-time undergraduate, graduate, or coursework only online or campus students to earn an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for an individual term. Please note: Full-time undergraduate students who receive the Honor Roll may also be eligible for the President's List or Dean's List. Honor Roll is awarded at the end of each term, while the President's List and Dean's List are recognized at the end of the 16-week campus terms or following paired 8-week terms for online students. While acknowledgment of the Honor Roll is an achievement, it is not a recognized university honor and has no bearing on eligibility for honor societies, Latin honors, or ceremonial honors at the time of conferral or during the Commencement ceremony, nor will it be noted on the student's academic transcript or diploma. Student participants in Mississippi State's BRIDGES Undergraduate Research Opportunity gain valuable experience preparing them to take the next step toward the workforce or continued studies in graduate school. BRIDGES is short for Building Relationships that Intentionally Develop Generations of Excellent Scholars, and it engages students in meaningful, paid work at various MSU research centers, such as the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems, Center for Cyber Innovation, Raspet Flight Research Laboratory and Social Science Research Center, among others. The program was established by the university's Office of Research and Economic Development and the Division of Access, Opportunity and Success. The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Spring 2025 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor's Honor Roll.

Twenty-five outstanding Mississippi State students are serving as 2025 Orientation Leaders, welcoming over 10,000 admitted students and family members to 15 university Orientation sessions this summer. The Orientation Leaders host incoming freshmen and transfers who are officially becoming part of the Bulldog family. The events include a variety of information sessions and MSU resources to help new students prepare for college life at the university. Orientation Leaders are chosen through a competitive selection process and have an integral role alongside the Division of Academic Affairs staff. They attend a three-credit-hour course in the spring and additional training to prepare for Orientation and other on-campus recruiting events. They also receive a summer stipend, housing and meal plan. Known for their enthusiasm and love for the university, MSU Orientation Leaders gain valuable experience as they lead Dawg Talks, highlight student life and share information about academic programs. Washburn University is pleased to announce its President's List honorees for the spring 2025 semester. To qualify for the President's List, a student must complete at least 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester grade point average of 4.0.

Mississippi College students and faculty who have distinguished themselves through excellence in scholarship, service and leadership were recognized during the 2025 Honors Convocation on April 24 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church Clinton. The ceremony is a revival of MC's traditional Honors Day celebration that had once been an annual event at the Christian University.

More than 100 University of Mississippi students were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious undergraduate honors organization in the liberal arts. The university held an induction ceremony on April 4 in the Johnson Commons Ballroom on campus. Phi Beta Kappa membership is an honor conferred upon fewer than 10% of each graduating class. Students do not apply for membership but are elected by the chapter after a review of the academic records of each eligible candidate.

Two hundred students were honored as the 2024-25 class of Who's Who Among Students at the University of Mississippi. The honorees were recognized for their achievements during a ceremony on April 4 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Who's Who Among Students is a respected honor program recognizing seniors who excel academically and demonstrate leadership and community service on and off campus.

Montclair State University is pleased to welcome the newest members of the Red Hawk family for the Fall 2024 semester.

Madeline Cannon, of Pearl, majoring in early childhood education, was named an Ole Miss First scholar at the University of Mississippi this fall. Students selected for the scholarship demonstrate outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership and commitment to service. Over the course of their four years at Ole Miss, the scholars meet with mentors and attend monthly dinners, so they receive the support, guidance and encouragement they need to take chances, explore opportunities and make a difference.

TROY is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for the Spring Semester and Term 4 of the 2023-2024 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. The Spring Semester includes students at the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 4 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.

Mississippi College congratulates the student who were named to the Choctaws Archery team for the 2023-24 season. The team recently hosted the 2023 USA Collegiate 3D South Central Regionals on Sept, 16, 2023 where they competed against universities from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arkansas. Abigail Veidmark took first place in the female bowhunter division, Bryce Burk claimed first in male barebow, Jack Thomas Spears took first in male bowhunter, and they took several first place spots in the teams and mixed teams competitions.

The works of visual art and design majors Savannah Wimberly, Lauren Watts, and Lilly Perkins will be featured at the Senior Fine Art Exhibition, August 26 - September 16. This exhibit, entitled "Autonomous Reverie," serves as a launching point for professional practice and allows the students to gain practical knowledge of museum work through the crafting and installing of their exhibit. As the culmination of their BFA and BA studies, this exhibit is a collective representation of each student's skill and mastery of visual art. The opening reception for the exhibit will be at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Art Gallery on Saturday, August 26, 2-4 p.m. Then on September 11 at 4 p.m., the artists will host a gallery talk to discuss their selected pieces of art. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours include Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. This is just one of the many exciting events from Belhaven's School of Arts. MC's student recruiting organization, Scouts, has announced its selections for the 2022-23 academic year. Each year, students apply through the Office of Admissions to serve as Scouts where they will give campus tours, assist with recruiting events, and connect with prospective students.

Twenty-four Mississippi State students have been honored with Spirit of State Awards, the university's premier student recognition. The award honors students making a positive impact on peers and the broader campus community through organization involvement, service to the institution and personal actions promoting school spirit and tradition.
